Jay Todd (J.T.) Marburger

Jay Todd (J.T.) Marburger

Chief Executive Officer

JT Marburger founded Circular Solutions in 2018 with a clear vision: to help organizations do measurable good for the planet while strengthening their business performance. As Founder and CEO, he brings more than 30 years of experience integrating recycled content into manufacturing processes and designing circular economy systems that move beyond aspiration to verified execution.

Marburger has led the development of recycling and upcycling circular economies for some of the world’s most recognized brands, including The Coca-Cola Company, Adidas, Delta Air Lines, and Hilton Hotels. His work spans major global sporting and live events such as the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, the PGA Tour, the FIFA World Cup, multiple Olympic Games, and Major League Soccer, as well as colleges and universities, health systems, and municipalities nationwide.

Under his leadership, Circular Solutions developed Circular OS™, an AI- and blockchain-enabled technology platform that verifies, tracks, and traces recycling and material flows across the entire value chain. The platform transforms fragmented recycling data into transparent, auditable intelligence, enabling organizations to prove recycling outcomes, support regulatory compliance, and deliver defensible sustainability performance.

Throughout his career, Marburger has focused on solving real-world material recovery challenges by connecting innovation, infrastructure, and end markets. In addition to owning and operating textile-focused circular economy companies that convert recycled commodities into branded products at scale, he has piloted a first-of-its-kind project in Southern Idaho to recover metals from landfill-bound material, diverting valuable commodities from disposal and converting them into verified recycled feedstock for manufacturing.

These projects generate real-time operational data that feeds directly into Circular OS, and these initiatives reflect Marburger’s systems-level approach to circular economy development. By pairing recycled content integration with digital verification, Marburger enables end-to-end transparency, allowing manufacturers, regulators, and brand owners to trace materials, validate recycled content claims, and rely on defensible, third party-ready reporting.

Marburger earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Georgia Southern University. He served on the Parker College of Business Advisory Board for 28 years and was named Alumnus of the Year in 2009. He received the Georgia Governor’s Award in 2013 for establishing circular economy solutions supporting the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Why Choose Us?

FAQs

Who is Circular Solutions (CS)?

At Circular Solutions, our mission is to bring transparency, credibility and measureable impact to recycling and sustainability efforts. We utilize the newest AI and blockchain technology to help organizations from universities to sports venues, verify their recycling efforts, track the process to ensure it’s working and share that data in a credible way. In short, CS helps organizations ensure their recycling efforts are paying off — for the planet and their bottom line.

What does CS do?

Circular Solutions has created a powerful platform that brings unmatched clarity, trust and accountability to recycling and waste diversion. We leverage the newest AI and blockchain technology to help save money, verify recycling programs, and calculate true environmental outcomes. Verification of the process is key—especially in our current environment when results are not always trusted. Our technology-powered tools verify, track and prove impact—with tech-verified recycling accountability of your recycling journey from pickup to processing.

What kinds of organizations are you working with?

We work with a broad variety of organizations, including but not limited to sports properties, airports, convention centers, zoos and aquariums, and municipalities. No matter the size of the property or facility, CS has a solution for every type of client wherever they are on their sustainability journey.

How does CS determine if their customer’s recycling is actually being recycled and not diverted to landfills or incinerated?

Through our technology-driven CS Verify Platform, CS tracks recycling by material type (cardboard, cans, bottles, etc.) from the customer’s location to the hauler, and then to the sorting facility (called an MRF).

CS Verify is able to determine if a particular recycled material is properly picked up and transferred to a facility that is capable of recycling it and returning it to a circular supply chain. CS Verify provides all recycling supply chain participants the opportunity to partner and participate in providing transparency to the recycling process.

Does CS track recycled material after it leaves the sorting facility (MRF) to determine its end market?

Many of our clients want to know more than whether recycling is actually happening. They want to know the end market for their:

  1. Recycled material. With our CS Track platform, CS requires a bill of lading from the MRF to a processing plant that converts commodity bales into recycling raw material substrate that can be integrated into the manufacturing process.
How is your technology different?

We know credibility is at the heart of circular economy reporting. By leveraging both CS Verify and CS Track’s AI and blockchain technology, we can verify recycling at every stage of the process and will provide organizations with documentation at each stage for accurate, auditable reporting. That includes pounds of recyclable materials that leave a location (like an event venue, for example), a bill of lading with the exact amount of material processed and verified recycling information from the processor turning the recycled material into new products. The data is stored using blockchain technology, so it is transparent throughout the entire process and cannot be changed later representing accurate facts at that snapshot in time.
